Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are the heart & soul of "Team MAFSAC."
Want to lend a helping hand to MAFSAC 2010?
Some of you may want to get more involved and we provide you with the opportunity to volunteer. Over 400 volunteers are needed to put on an event like this and we have opportunities for everyone that wants to get involved. We could not put on an event like this without these volunteers that give their time, many of them several months in advance of the fly-in. Others work one 4-hour shift, but all are important. Your level of involvement is appreciated no matter how much time you have available. The aviation community and our volunteers are current and prior military, current or prior civilian. Some of our volunteers are leaders of industry, retired, semi-retired. They come from as far away as Florida and Canada and East of the Mississippi. All of them enjoy the company of people that are involved in aviation and tend to look up whenever they hear an aircraft engine! We love airplanes, airplane noise, and enjoy talking to each other while surrounded by both.
How can I join "Team MAFSAC?"
To be a member of "Team MAFSAC", all you have to do is park in the volunteer parking lot, walk the corridor to the volunteer registration and sign up. Any volunteer that works a 4 hour shift gets in to the fly-in free for that day and may attend the Volunteer Dinner and party on Saturday night. The volunteer tent is located beside the volunteer registration and will offer a great place to relax, catch up with friends and share a meal when not on the flight line. Our volunteers enjoy some special privileges and have a great time serving. We will post volunteer opportunities on the web site very soon. If you would like to offer your services for this years fly-in or are a returning volunteer, you may contact Rosemary Gibson by email.
Note: The volunteer appreciation dinner will be held from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, Saturday evening, located at the Sponsors Tent.
