Frequently Asked Questions
- 1. Is it safe to come to the Air Show?
- Safety is always a primary concern at air shows. MAFSAC works very closely with local and federal authorities to ensure safety. MAFSAC follows and enforces all security rules and regulations required. You will notice extra security at the air show.

- 2. What time do the gates open?
- Gates open 3:00 pm on Friday and 9:00 am on Saturday.
- 3. Is there a fee for admission?
- Yes. The Admission Fees are as follows: General Admission - $10, Children 7 & under - FREE, Youth 8-16 - $5, Military Discount - $5, Camping per day - $10, Camping Under Wing - $10.

- 4. Is parking free?
- A: Yes.
- 5. Will there be specific parking and seating for the handicapped?
- Yes, there will be handicapped parking very close to the Air Show ramp. Also a handicapped seating area will be provided near the show line. Just follow the signs on the day of the show to find the parking and seating areas.

- 6. When will the flying begin?
- Aircraft will take to the sky at 7:30 pm on Friday and 2:00 pm on Saturday.
- 7. What attire should I consider?
- Wear sunscreen and sunglasses, take a hat, wear comfortable shoes.
This sounds like common sense but you’ll be amazed at how much walking you’ll do in the sun. Some may prefer the shade of a wing . Whatever your choice, come prepared to be in the elements.

- 8. Can I bring folding chairs
- Yes.
- 9. I have small children. Can I bring a stroller/diaper bag/clothes change/etc.?
- Yes. Please bring only necessary items in a small diaper bag.

- 10. Are pets allowed?
- No pets are allowed for the public, however Seeing-eye dogs will be permitted. Pets are allowed only in campground area to registered campers and must be restrained at all times.
- 11. Can I bring my camera/video camera/cell phone?
- Yes. There are no security restrictions on these items. However, large camera bags are not permitted. Bring only necessary camera equipment, leaving extra attachments at home. A small fanny pack or camera vest is useful for carrying extra film and small lenses.

- 12. Can I bring a cooler, water, drinks and/or food?
- Please do not attempt to bring a cooler, food or drink. These items will not be permitted on the airfield.
- 13. Will there be any food or souvenirs available?
- There will be concessions at MAFSAC 2008. There will be food, drinks, and souvenirs available for purchase.

- 14. Can I bring bikes or skateboards?
- No. Bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, heelies and roller blades are not allowed on the ramp, flightline or hangar areas.
- 15. What other items are prohibited?
- Firearms, knives (including pocket knives and all purpose tools, i.e. leatherman), backpacks, coolers, and large bags.

- 16. If I cannot bring something in, can I go out to my car during the show?
- No.
- 17. Is tailgating allowed?
- No.

- 18. Is smoking allowed?
- Yes, but only in designated areas. (NOT ON THE FLIGHT LINE)
- 19. Do I need an ID?
- No ID required.

- 20. Will restroom facilities be easily accessible?
- Yes. Portable restrooms will be located throughout the air show grounds. Several will be located near parking areas and along high-traffic routes.
- 21. Can I take pictures or get autographs
- Yes. Many of the performers make themselves available for autographs and pictures during the show.

- 22. Will it be necessary to have hearing protection?
- This event will have jets that take off, land, and perform. Hearing protection should be the same as you would use at any event that will be extremely loud. Visitors to the Air Show are encouraged to bring some form of hearing protection with them.
